Athletics plays a vital role in student life at Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT). Sports help students stay active and healthy while building confidence, discipline and teamwork. At BIT athletics is not only about competition. It is about developing character leadership and school spirit.
All BIT sports teams proudly compete under the name Barracudas. The Barracudas represent strength, determination and unity. Students who join the teams learn to support one another and work together towards shared goals.
BIT has strong teams in several sports including football, basketball, volleyball and badminton. These teams train regularly and represent the school in different competitions and tournaments.
Football is one of the most popular sports at BIT. The school has four football teams that compete in different age groups. These include the Under 14 team, Under 16 team, Under 19 team and the Girls Football Team.
Each team trains with dedication and represents the Barracudas with pride. Through football students develop teamwork, discipline and leadership skills.
In addition to football, BIT also has active basketball, volleyball and badminton teams. Students receive guidance from experienced coaches who help them improve their skills and performance.
These teams regularly participate in matches and tournaments organised by other schools and sports organisations. Over the years BIT teams have earned recognition and accolades for their achievements.
Every year BIT organises its Annual Sports Day where students take part in a wide range of athletic events and competitions. The event brings together students, teachers and parents in a celebration of energy teamwork and sportsmanship.
Annual Sports Day encourages students to challenge themselves, develop resilience and enjoy the spirit of healthy competition.
BIT also hosts the NAC Cup each year in memory of our respected board member Late Numair Atif Choudhury. This special tournament honours his contribution to the school community.
The NAC Cup brings together talented young athletes from different schools across the city and creates an exciting competitive environment. Students proudly represent the Barracudas and showcase their dedication to sports.
